 Works and Looks Seemless with PS3 November 2, 2008
This product is perfect for those with 40GB PS3s or the new 80/120GB models. It adds another 2 USB ports (takes one away for the unit) and a memory card reader, bringing it in line with the older models in features expect for the backwards capability. It plugs into the bottom USB port and snaps into the air vent for a secure fit; also flush with the front and side of the PS3.
Highly recommend it for any PS3 owner in need of more USB ports.

With the high reviews on this item, I saw a great way to add the ability to plugin SD cards to my 40GB PS3. I was very disappointed when I plugged this in and nothing worked off its USB or SD ports. I must have gotten a defective one... The only real feedback I can give about the actual functionality of the unit because of this is in regards to how it connects. I was surprised at how loose it felt once connected to the front of the PS3. Maybe this is related the issue I had with it, but if not, it seems to be poorly designed.

I Bought This Product for my 80GB PS3 Playstation 3 80GB, the Newer Version with no Backwards Compatibility, Memory Card Readers, and Only 2 USB Ports, pretty much the like the 40GB.But anyways I am extremely happy with the media hub so far, it fixes the all the problems for 40GB PS3 owners except the Backwards Compatibility with PlayStation 2 Games that is.But, I don't care about the BC Feature because I have a PS2, and It Plays 100% all PS2 games.So for me, this Product fixes all my PS3 Problems.The Design fits well with the PS3, and it looks as if its built in with The PS3 instead of an Accessory.So, if you have a 40GB PS3 or the Newer 80GB PS3 version like I do, I recommend this Product to You.It Fixes the 2 USB Port, and the Card Reader Problems.Bottom Line I Love This Product!

This accessory matches the fit and finish of the playstation 3, and it is reasonably priced.
If you have the 40G PS3, this plugs into the left USB port, leaving one of the built in ports free. That gives you 4 USBs, plus the card reader. If you are taking advantages of all of the photo, music, video and PSP remote capabilities of your PS3, the Media Hub is an excellent add-on.

Great item if you have one of the 40 GB PS3 that only have the 2 USB ports and no memorycard slots. Very reasonable price too.
