Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Why burn through expensive batteries when you can keep your Wii-motes fully charged at all times. The included rechargeable batteries can be completely charged over 300 times and the lighted stand lets you know when the charge is finished.

1 out of 5 stars No more remotes   December 26, 2008
This charging unit destroyed both of our wii remotes. One is completely dead, the other doesn't sense position. Spend your money on regular or rechargable batteries. Please contact your local Better Business Bureau and file a complaint if you have had problems with this product. The manufacture claims in an email to me that they have only had a handful of complaints.

Thanks.

4 out of 5 stars They Seemed to Have Corrected the Problem   December 22, 2008
I bought this item recently, and didn't check the reviews in advance (something I rarely do). After seeing all the negative reviews, I was planning to return it for a refund, but have since changed my mind and decided to keep it.
It works fine. It does not overheat or get hot at all. The batteries hold a good charge. I checked the manufacturer's website, and they acknowledge the problem. (http://www.psyclonegamer.com/products/index.asp?brandtype=essentials&id=1226&bhcp=1)
It comes highly recommended so far.

1 out of 5 stars Bad Product; Good Customer Service   December 8, 2008
Do not buy this product. One of the batteries melted through and damaged my Wii controller.

I left a message at the 800 number from the website and Todd from Psyclone called me back after about a week. Todd told me that I would receive a Target gift card worth $50 to replace the controller and that I would get an email from Mathis Dunne which followed a few days later. The email said I would get a UPS shipping label for the product and defective controller. I promptly received it and returned it as instructed. A month later I got a new charge station, Target gift card worth only $25, and a letter from Psyclone stating the gift card was worth $50.

A quick call to Target card services revealed the card had only $25 on it and that was the original purchase amount. I am now waiting for Psyclone to call me back.

UPDATE: Psyclone called me back with a sufficient explanation about the $25 discrepancy (someone bought the wrong gift cards) and I received the additional $25 after 5 days. Now, do I actually use the charge station? Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice shame on me.

1 out of 5 stars Psyclone Wii Remote Charger   November 2, 2008
Don't buy this product, it doesn't work. I bought two before I figured it out, after calling Nintendo's customer service. When using this units re-chargeable batteries you get a error message that "Wii Remote is disconnected" after about 10 minutes of use. Save your money and just replace the regular batteries when they go dead. Wii Recharge Station

1 out of 5 stars Mystery brand builds evil Wii-remote-eating charger   August 2, 2008
Opened this product tonight, and immediately got bad vibes -- no documentation in the box at all, no instructions, discussion about overcharging, etc.

Thank goodness I was in the room when the blue light on the base went out -- if I had left the remote in overnight, it could have gotten fried. (Just read a few posts from some of these good people here, and be wary.)

I am so glad I looked this up on the web. Returning this bad product tomorrow.
