Product Description The tandem rotor helicopter, like the Boeing Chinook, is a more powerful and faster variation of its single-rotor relative. Fly your own dual-rotor 'copter with the 3-channel Twin Thunder, one of the most stable micro-sized R/C helicopters ever! Use the infrared remote to direct the Twin Thunder in five directions, or just try to hover in one place! It even has a realistic LED searchlight on the nose cone! Includes stabilizers.

It's not that easy to fly January 4, 2009 Got this for a Christmas present. Couldn't figure out how to fly it indoors as it kept wanting to bounce off the ceiling, walls, furniture. So I tried it outside... Big mistake! A gust of wind took it out of my back yard, up in the air at least 30 feet and across the street. The last time I saw it it was sailing over my neighbor's rooftop! Looks like I'll be buying another one for fear of admitting what happened to the gifters of said present. Ugh!
Don't waste your money January 3, 2009 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son got this for Christmas and it broke an hour later. It was too heavy and really never got any height. We've had many other Air Hogs and this one is sub-standard.
A Fun Toy that Really Works December 31, 2008 I purchased this toy for my son. We've been playing with it for the last two days, and thus far, it has held up well. What's more, it hasn't damaged anything in the house. It has truly been a lot of fun to use together. Bottom line: I recommend it!
Excellent indoor flying machine December 31, 2008 They've done it...finally an affordable indoor copter with full control authority. Similar to the single rotor choppers, but with forward/hover control.
Trim controls work perfectly for me, but I realize from past experience that there is some variability to how these are built. Very small changes in tolerances and weight can affect manueverability...but the trim controls seem to have a lot of range.
Battery lasts a long time compared to other copters and recharges quickly.
Copter is very stable with both fins in place, and gets entertainingly neutrally stable with the front fin removed.
You'll have fun with this until you finally break it. Possibly minutes, hopefully hours, and, if you're good, days and days. :-) Copter should take hundreds of moderate crashes, which is much better than outdoor copters.
Of course, you can't use this outdoors, and as mentioned, you really need high ceilings to make it very much fun....but it can be flown in normal rooms.
Really neat toy for any age! December 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Been looking at these little helicoptors for a while, and recieved this one as a gift. How neat!! Takes some patients to learn to fly it, and get the trim controls set right so it doesn't just take off one direction. The battery lasts for about 6 mins after about 20 mins. of charge, which is okay, but the last two mins or so of the charge is weaker than the first few mins, so the copter is not as responsive in the last few mins of the charge. Also I've got the foward / reverse trim set all the way to reverse, just to keep it from flying forward on it's own, which is really the only flaw thus far. I have to say I've crashed the thing probably 50 plus times in the few days I've had it, and for the most part it's in the same condition as when it was new.
I will say, I've got 12 foot ceilings in my house, and took it to a house with only 8 foot ceilings and it was almost impossible to keep it flying for any amount of time. A warehouse building or something would be ideal for this little guy. Not meant for a small room, so if you're in an appartment or something you're not going to get as much out of it.
All in all a good toy for the price, and great for anyone of teenage years or older. I can't see a child of 8 or so having much fun with this as it does take some practice time to learn to keep control of it.
