Featuring a colorful foam body with blue and yellow details, blinking lights, and plastic rotors, this detailed little helicopter has plenty of aesthetic appeal. Before you start flying, you'll need to charge your Havoc Stinger. Use a Philips head screwdriver to insert six AA batteries (not included) the each controller. Then plug the helicopter into the cord on the controller. Since the plug has small prongs, you'll need to take care to seat them correctly. Now it's time to start practicing. You'll want to encourage kids to get familiar with the controls before they try and any big-time stunt flights, since flying this choppers well takes practice. In addition to an on-off switch and a switch that lets you select the correct channel to control your helicopter, the hand-held controller has a throttle stick, a rudder stick, and a button to adjust for trimming. We found the best way to start off was flying in a large, indoor space, while focusing on hovering an even distance above the ground. This simple task is trickier to master than you might imagine, but with enough practice it will become second nature. The included instruction manual offers tips for learning to fly, from focusing on the helicopter instead of the controller to applying very gentle pressure on the control sticks.  Fun, but NOT strong ! January 6, 2009
These helicopters were on the top of my "gift" list this year for my son, husband, uncle, etc. They were ASKING for them. Overall, they are a fun toy and I got them for a great price during amazon's toy mark downs. In my opinion they would NOT be worth the full retail price.
Some things to be aware of... they are VERY hard to control. Aside from up and down it's difficult to get them to do much more. My brother in law managed to control them the best, but everyone else had a hard time. I think these best for the 8+ age range and best with a child who can take some time to "learn the ropes", be gentle and calm. If you have children who are very exciteable and tend not to follow instructions I wouldn't bother. They will get frustrated and likely break them.
They break EASILY. Out of four copters that were bought, two were out of commission within the first day.

I bought this for my young teenage nephew for christmas. He had a little trouble at operating it at first (reading the instructions helped!), but soon all of the children including my 5 year old daughter were having fun with it. It took some abuse very well during the initial flight sessions.
The one down side is they did not advise that batteries are needed for this toy (unless I missed that) and the charge is not too long on it.
Overall it was a big hit.

This little helicopter has given me hours of fun! It is great indoors and with a little tweaking can be made to fly foward rather than just up and down. This toy is definetely not for outdoors or anywhere there is a draft because the slightest wind will send it off course....into a wall, tree or on the roof! I would definetely recommnend it for kids and adults of all ages.

This toy was the hit of Christmas , The intended user could not operate the tiny on off switch ,the charging plug pulls out of the chopper body very easy. I rate this on a 1 to 10 scale ,10 being best

What a great and fun toy for the one day that it worked. I have a 9 year old boy. He got this for Christmas and by Christmas night..parts had fallen off and it would only fly in circles. Needless to say we were all very disappointed in the quality.
